Surah An Najm is “Meccan surah” . In the Surah , total are 62 verses  & 2 Rukus. This Surah was revealed at the same time period as that of Surah Qaaf, Dhaariyaat and Surah Toor aournd third to fifth year after the Prophet Muhammad’s declaration of His Prophethood. This Surah deals with the legitimacy of revelation and Muhammad’s Prophetic visions. This surah describes the legitimacy of revelation and the vision of Holy Prophet(PBUH) prophetic.It starts with the arriving vision  of angel Jibrail and conveying the message and teachings of God to the Holy Prophet(PBUH).It narrates about the revelation of Sajda ,which first time the holy prophet(PBUH) recite  in makkah and performed sajda.The believers did the same except an old man who took a handful of dust and bowed on it.After that he was murdered as a disbeliever.This shows the importance of sajda in our life.
