Surah At Talaq is “Medinan surah” . In the Surah , total are 12 verses  & 2 Rukus. The name of this Surah is applied to whole Surah as in it are God’s commandments regarding Divorce and waiting period Iddah. This Surah was revealed in most probably after the verses of Surah Baqarah related to divorce and waiting period verses. This Surah elaborates the matter further and more precisely.  This surah describes the God commands about the Divorce and women Iddat.It elaborates these matters more fourthly and more precisely.This surah tells about rules of divorce that its not to say the word divorce  and get separated from their wives but there is a proper way and to gave them their due rights.it tells the time period of the iddat will be 3 menstruation period.And the women with no menstruation will also have 3 months period of iddat. In case of pregnancy the women time period of iddat will be after the child delivery. The husband and wives should follow the commands of God even they have conflict with each other.
